While we love our local crabs, to ensure a balance between sustainability and flavour, some of the produce available at the festival is from other parts of WA and international waters.
Crab Fest attendees are very conscious of the products they buy, having a strong preference for sustainable and locally sourced produce. To assist attendees in making informed choices, each stall at Crab Fest will label its produce with "I'm Local" or "Imported" signage.
Throughout the festival, City officers and the Department of Fisheries will conduct inspections to ensure compliance.
